UKOS launch targeted activity to help better understand the local community; to develop the skills base of local people through programmes of training and support; drive greater aspiration and confidence among young people and those seeking work and in giving small businesses information and support to manage and ultimately to flourish.

For UKOS, inclusive growth is economic growth that is distributed fairly across society and creates opportunities for all.

CHARITY CHARTER

Each year, our people nominate and then vote for a local charity to support over the coming 12 months. Each month we hold a charity draw that staff can join through a £2 salary pledge to charities.
VOLUNTEERING DAYS

At UKOS, each of our employees is given two days a year to volunteer on a community project of their choice. That’s a total of 800 hours which we dedicate to good causes.
BUYING LOCAL

To ensure that businesses continue to grow in local and regional areas, UKOS intends to maintain and strengthen our existing local purchasing preferences. Our buy local preference is aimed at recognising the contribution of local businesses in building a stronger local economy and fostering competition by giving full, fair and reasonable opportunity to local enterprise.
SUPPORTING COMMUNITIES

With distribution centres and offices across the UK, UKOS is committed to supporting and contributing to the communities in which we operate. We do this by donating essential products to local schools, charities and organisations – preserving their own funds whilst equipping them to better facilitate the learning they provide.
